A lovely sterling silver handmade bracelet in the style of a Victorian watch chain....
This gorgeous solid sterling silver chains inspired by the Victorian want chains that men and women wore to carry their pocket watches on. These chains also often held medals, fobs, watch key sans of course letter seals.
When wrist watches overtook pocket watches these chains were often adjusted to make bracelets and necklaces. Keeping the interesting elements of the pocket watch chain (the t-bar, the Albert clasps etc) these bracelets were often eclectic, unique and individual.
This is a nice and chunky version of my take on an Albert chain. You can make it your own by adding small mementos, amulets and add ons to it. These can be hung on with either of the Albert clasps, soldered onto the centre ring or hung from the t-bar dangle chain. The variations are limitless and I would be happy to work with you to create your meaningful, personal bracelet.
This double clasp bracelet listing is for a bracelet that contains the following:
Heavy, solid (not hollow) curb chain. This Curb chain is 7.25mm wide and each link is approximately 8.85mm in length, you can choose the length you require during the checkout process.
2 x 21mm fixed Albert Clasp.
1 x 10mm centre ring
1 x 3mm belcher chain
1 x sterling silver decorative t-bar
This bracelet will arrive wrapped in purple tissue in a cotton 'SWALK' draw string bag and with explanation cards to explain the meanings of the seals.
This bracelet was oxidised and then thoroughly hand polished to create the lovely mellow silver look of Antique silver.
