A pair of sterling silver stackable rings. These feature the images of the shamrock and the thistle.
Wax seals were used in the past to secure personal correspondence. These two seals date from Approx 1820.
Shamrock:
The shamrock is an official emblem of Ireland. Shamrock is said to be lucky and is often used as a good luck symbol.
Thistle:
The thistle is the official emblem of Scotland.
Legend has it that a sleeping party of Scots Warriors were saved by an ambush by Norsemen, when one of the enemies stood on the spikey plant. His loud cry roused the sleeping men who then vanquished the invaders and adopted the thistle as their national symbol.
These can be ordered in different sizes to suit the buyer and can also be bought separately. (Please convo me for information).
These rings are light and dainty and comfortable to wear. They are made entirely from sterling silver and would look great combined with other stacking rings.
Thank you to Kaitlin for her customer appreciation photograph. They look awesome on you Kaitlin. xxx
